Speech in Focus, Speech Pathology Services is an experienced and family centered practice offering speech, language, stuttering, social thinking and literacy assessments and therapy for young children and school students. We offer communication and swallowing services in residential aged care facilities.

Speech in Focus, Speech Pathology Services is a NDIS provider.

Our Staff

Evett Lattouf

Evett Lattouf

Evett Lattouf is the principal speech pathologist, who qualified from the University of Sydney with a B. App. Sc. (Speech Pathology), and La Trobe University Victoria with a Grad. Cert. (Dysphagia). Evett is certified with Hanen’s ‘It Takes Two To Talk’ and ‘More Than Words’ programmes. She is an English and Lebanese speaking speech pathologist.

She is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist and a member of Speech Pathology Australia, a registered provider with:

  • Private Health Insurance Funds
  • Medicare Australia for the Chronic Diseases Management Plan.
  • NDIS

Her experiences include intellectual and developmental disabilities, language delays, learning difficulties, speech sound disorders, pragmatics, autism spectrum disorders, literacy, bilingual language, voice, feeding and swallowing difficulties as well as augmentative and alternative communication.

She has worked in education, disability services, aged care facilities, supported accommodation, community health, hospitals and in private practice.

Bethanie Hain

Bethanie Hain

Bethanie Hain is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist and a member of Speech Pathology Australia, a registered provider with:

  • Private Health Insurance Funds
  • Medicare Australia for the Chronic Diseases Management Plan.

Bethanie completed her studies at the University of Sydney, first studying a Bachelor of Int. and Global Studies (Linguistics, Govt. & I.R.) before completing her Masters of Speech and Language Pathology. Bethanie is certified with Hanen’s ‘It Takes Two To Talk’ programme. 

During her studies she gained experience working with both young and school-age children and adults in a variety of settings, including mainstream schools, community health centres, disability services, rehabilitation centres and in private practice across suburban Sydney and rural NSW.

Her experiences include working with developmental language delays, acquired language difficulties, speech sound disorders, stuttering, literacy, voice, social communication, and alternative and augmentative communication.

Isabel Rae Timmerman

Isabel Rae Timmerman

Isabel Rae Timmerman is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist and a member of Speech Pathology Australia, a registered provider with:

  • Private Health Insurance Funds
  • Medicare Australia for the Chronic Diseases Management Plan.

Isabel completed her studies at the University of Sydney, with a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and Psychology (Honours), and a Masters in Speech and Language Pathology.

Isabel has worked as a Childcare Educator with primary school students for eight years. She has experience working at the Shepherd Centre for children who are deaf or hard of hearing, in primary schools, and in the disability sector.

Her interests are in developmental language delays, speech sound disorders, literacy, social communication, stuttering, and alternative and augmentative communication. 

Lourdie Harb

Lordie Harb

Lourdie Harb is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist and a member of Speech Pathology Australia, a registered provider with: 

  • Private Health Insurance Funds
  • Medicare Australia for the Chronic Diseases Management Plan

Lourdie graduated with a Bachelor of Health Sciences and a Masters of Speech and Language Pathology from the University of Sydney.

During her studies she gained experience working in a range of settings including schools, aged-care facilities, rehabilitation hospitals and in private practice across suburban Sydney and regional NSW.

Lourdie has an interest in working with literacy, speech sound disorders, early-intervention, fluency, and acquired language disorders. She believes in making intervention functional by working with both the client and their family throughout the therapy process.
