Speech in Focus, Speech Pathology Services is a well established award winning practice. We provide a family centred assessment and therapeutic services to adults and children with communication and swallowing difficulties. About the role

This role will be for four days per week, from 8.30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. It requires an energetic and highly organised individual who enjoys working with culturally diverse, complex but varied caseload in paediatrics and adults. You will be a vital part of a team to include a practice director, speech pathologists, customer service officers and IT support. This position has an existing and interesting caseload, and you will have an opportunity to provide assessment services to a local K to 12 private school and aged care facilities. Therefore, a part of this role will include using your vehicle for travel. There will be support and encouragement to growing your skills in areas of your clinical interest.This position is expected to commence mid January 2020.

Skills and experience

It is desirable that you have some clinical experience in providing assessment and therapeutic services to any of the following conditions: autism, developmental disabilities, complex communication needs, stuttering, neurological conditions or dysphagia. However, other clinical experiences within speech pathology will be considered. You will need to work collaboratively, accept direction and feedback, as well as operate independently. You need to demonstrate a commitment to working ethically using best available evidence and abide by Speech Pathology Australia's Code of Ethics.
